COLLINS ALLOWABLE ALTERNATE VEHICLES
Congregations need safe alternatives to non-conforming van transportation. As the leader in the small school bus industry, Collins builds
every certified

 |
| bus from the chassis up, engineering safety into every square inch, while meeting all federal safety standards.
And through our relationship with GuideOne Insurance, you'll be surprised how little price difference there is between a non-conforming van
and the Collins Allowable Alternate Vehicle (AAV). |
NATIONAL MEDIA ATTENTION
It should never take a tragedy, but all too often, calling national attention to important safety issues takes just that.
In 1994, six-year-old Jacob Strebler was killed when a truck driver ran a red light and crashed into a non-conforming van
operated by a private school in Columbia, South Carolina. "Had Jake been in a school bus, he would be here today,"
Jacob's mother has said.
The media attention generated by the Strebler case, which included a special feature on NBC's Dateline, has resonated in the
political arena as well. With legislative changes for safety pending, church administrators have two choices, either wait for
the federal government to force the retirement of non-conforming vans, or begin converting fleets right now.

SCHOOL BUS SAFETY AND FEATURES - VAN MANEUVERABILITY AND CONVENIENCE
Available in a variety of models and floor plans, all of the Collins AAVs offer a reinforced, galvanized steel |

| body, for
protection in both head-on and side-impact collisions. They also offer a smoother, sturdier ride, for added comfort and safety,
with special child restraint seats to protect your precious passengers. |
DRIVER FRIENDLY
With all of its enhanced safety and comfort, under most state laws, anyone with a regular drivers license can operate
a Collins AAV as long as it doesn't hold more than 14 passengers.

| You get all the safety of a small school bus, while avoiding
the added expense of hiring additional commercial drivers. |

THE PRICE OF SAFETY
Perhaps the biggest surprise to church administrators is how little price difference there is between a non-conforming van
and a Collins AAV. The Collins AAV costs about 10% more than a van, but the advantages far outweigh the expense.
That's because Collins AAV life expectance is substantially longer than a van, giving you additional service life and the
peace of mind knowing you're giving your members the safest ride possible - all while protecting your church from potential
liability in the event of an accident involving a non-conforming van.
